DESK TOPS

Desk top and chair, office, refinish, restore

This was an interesting situation. The Gentleman that owned this once very nice large leather toped desk and matching high back, swivel, executive, leather office chair also had two chairs that matched for his clients to sit across from him.

  Before

As you can see the desk was in pretty ‘tough shape’ with all three matching chairs not far behind.

We matched the original color, restored the leather desktop and them refinished each and every gold headed ‘stud’ (tack) as well as incorporating some antique finishing and aging so the leather desk top would look ‘period correct’

After

Next we refinished all three chairs, wow, did they ever look great! Before they found AAALeatherRepair.com/Leather-ReDyeing.com this desk and all three chairs were slated for the trash!

Original Louise the 16th. table/desk

The real thing? Yes, this second group of photos on this page are of an original leather top Louise the 16th table/desk.

The ravages of several hundred years are all showing in the before picture along with a small (looks white in the picture) patch of leather that was torn out over time.

After restoration

Results: We repaired the lost leather area and then refinished the original leather top to a beautiful deep forest green antique color. You know this was really an interesting project that was indeed returned to its former grace and glory.
