You get a new ‘corner group’ sofa and invite only your best friends over to ‘enjoy’ it. Some one, who knows whom? Spills something on it and ‘bingo’ you learn (and not in a happy way) that, yes, the leather looks like it will last the 20+ years the sales person said it would but obviously the finish isn’t!

      Before

This sofa was finished in what is called a two stage finish. That means that there is a (usually) a darker color applied over the top of a lighter color to produce a particular ‘depth’ or perhaps just a ‘look’ This type of finish can be very delicate, not always, but when they are (delicate) they are in a BIG way.

After

We took the whole sofa to the shop, made the secondary color, duplicated the technique that was used to apply the secondary color and restored the entire finish. We then applied an additional clear finish to the entire corner group to add to the durability that was missing.
